Touched down in Srinagar! The crisp mountain air feels magical. Checked into a cozy houseboat on Dal Lake. The highlight? A gentle Shikara ride at sunset. The reflections on the lake are surreal. What a start!
Today was all about beauty and serenity. Explored the Mughal Gardens – Nishat, Shalimar, and Chashme Shahi – each with its own charm. The Shankaracharya Temple offered stunning views of Srinagar from the top. Evening spent browsing local markets.
What a day! Explored Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood film, then wandered through Aru Valley’s rolling meadows. A short trip to Chandanwari capped it off. Nature here feels untouched, pure, and endless.
Took a lesser-known trail today to Doodhpathri – a hidden gem wrapped in pine trees and wildflowers. It’s peaceful, uncrowded, and incredibly green. Perfect for quiet time and some amazing photo ops!
Returned to Srinagar for a relaxed final day. Visited Hazratbal Shrine, shopped for pashmina and dry fruits, and sipped some last cups of traditional kahwa. Wrapped it all up with a beautiful lakeview dinner.
